The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA) represented Nepal at the China Auto Chongqing Summit 2025 (CACS 2025), held on June 6–7 in Chongqing, China. The summit centered around the global shift toward new energy and smart technologies under the theme, "Shaping the Future of an Industry in Transition."
NADA President Karan Chaudhary joined the China-ASEAN panel session as a speaker, where he highlighted Nepal's automobile landscape, explored trade prospects, and emphasized the potential for regional cooperation.
President Chaudhary also took part in two high-level closed-door discussions focused on China-ASEAN electric vehicle (EV) collaboration, including sustainable transportation and EV adoption. A special delegation dialogue further explored opportunities for multilateral investment and trade policy cooperation.
NADA also hosted a dedicated stall at the summit to showcase Nepal’s automotive market, highlight favorable policy conditions, and promote the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2025, set to take place this August in Kathmandu. The stall attracted strong interest from Chinese automotive companies.
The delegation included NADA General Secretary Surendra Kumar Uprety, Central Working Committee members Prakash Kapuri and Yamuna Shrestha, as well as Invitee Central Working Committee members Anup Kumar Baral and Narayan Prasad Poudel. This marks the first time NADA has participated in an international forum of this scale.
