Leapmotor Rises to No. 3 in China’s EV Market with Strong Sales Surge
Leapmotor, one of China’s fastest-growing EV brands, has surged to No. 3 in the country’s competitive new energy vehicle (NEV) market.
In May 2025, it delivered 45,067 units—up 148.1% year-on-year—with total sales for the year reaching 173,658 units, a 160.8% increase. The C11 remains its bestselling model, known for its innovation, safety, and value.
In our market, Leapmotor is represented by Shangrila Motors Pvt. Ltd. While six models are available in China (T03, C01, C11, C16, B01, and C10), only the premium C10 SUV and compact T03 hatchback are offered locally.
The C10 features rear-wheel drive, a 160 kW motor, and a 69.9 kWh LFP battery offering up to 420 km range (WLTP). It accelerates from 0–100 km/h in 7.5 seconds and supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.
Priced from Rs. 28.99 lakh, the T03 offers a 37.3 kWh battery with 395 km urban range (WLTP) and comes equipped with Level 2 LEAP Pilot driver assistance.
