The upcoming IM Motors IM6, a premium electric crossover, has been spotted in Kathmandu—signaling that its official launch is imminent. This apperance also hints the brand’s entry into the Nepalese automotive market.
Originally known as the LS6 in China, the IM6 is developed by IM Motors—a collaboration between SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech. Rebranded for global markets, the IM6 is positioned as a high-end electric SUV featuring a futuristic design, advanced technology, and impressive performance.
The IM6 boasts a coupe-inspired silhouette, a tech-rich interior, and a fully electric powertrain that offers quick acceleration and a long driving range. While official details regarding specifications and pricing for Nepal are yet to be revealed, the IM6 is expected to make a strong impact in the premium electric SUV space.
In the Chinese market, the IM6 is available in both single- and dual-motor variants, paired with battery options ranging from 71 kWh to 100 kWh.
These configurations offer a CLTC-certified range between 560 km and 725 km. The model is available in rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive versions. It measures 4,904 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width, 1,669 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.
