The much-anticipated IM Motors IM6 has been spotted at the Nepal border, signaling its imminent entry into the local market. This marks the brand’s debut in Nepal, with the electric SUV poised to attract attention from EV enthusiasts and tech-forward consumers.
The LS6, rebranded as the IM6 in Nepal, is developed by IM Motors—a joint venture between SAIC Motor, Alibaba Group, and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech—and is positioned as a premium electric crossover boasting futuristic design, cutting-edge technology, and strong performance.
The IM6 features a sleek, coupe-inspired silhouette, a feature-rich cabin, and an all-electric powertrain delivering brisk acceleration and an extended driving range. While official specifications and pricing for Nepal are yet to be announced, the IM6 is expected to compete as a premium offering in the evolving electric SUV segment.
In China, the IM6 is offered in single- and dual-motor configurations, with battery capacities ranging from 71 kWh to 100 kWh, delivering a CLTC range of 560 km to 725 km. Both rear-wheel and all-wheel-drive variants are available. The SUV measures 4,904 mm in length, 1,988 mm in width, 1,669 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,950 mm.
