VinFast, a Vietnamese EV manufacturer listed on Nasdaq, has introduced two all-electric SUVs—the VF 6 and VF 7—across the B-segment and C-segment categories in the Indian market.
Unveiled at the recently concluded Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025, these models are the company's first to be designed specifically for India, with right-hand drive versions developed exclusively for the market.
The VF 6, a B-segment electric SUV, is powered by a 150 kW electric motor (approximately 200 hp) and equipped with a 55 kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a range of about 400 km on a full charge (WLTP cycle). It supports fast charging, allowing 0-80% of the battery to be charged in under 40 minutes using a 100 kW DC fast charger.
The VF 6’s dimensions include a length of 4,300 mm, width of 1,800 mm, height of 1,650 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,650 mm, ensuring a comfortable ride. Its front-wheel-drive (FWD) layout is complemented by an independent MacPherson strut suspension in the front and a multi-link suspension in the rear, balancing comfort and handling precision.
Inside, the VF 6 features a digital instrument cluster, a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a spacious cabin outfitted with premium materials, making it an appealing option for tech-focused consumers.
Similarly, the VF 7 is a C-segment electric SUV that boasts a dual-motor all-wheel-drive (AWD) system delivering 300 kW (approximately 400 hp) for a high-performance driving experience. Its 77 kWh battery offers an impressive range of up to 500 km on a full charge, with 0-80% charging in just 45 minutes via a 150 kW DC charger.
The VF 7’s dimensions include a length of 4,800 mm, width of 1,900 mm, height of 1,720 mm, and a wheelbase of 2,900 mm, ensuring a spacious interior and commanding road presence. The vehicle also features an adaptive suspension system for superior handling and comfort across varied driving conditions.
Inside, the VF 7’s driver-focused cockpit includes a 12.3-inch digital display and a 15.4-inch touchscreen for infotainment, along with premium leather upholstery and customizable ambient lighting. The VF 7 accelerates from 0-100 km/h in just 5.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 200 km/h, catering to those seeking both luxury and performance.
At the expo, VinFast also showcased a range of other electric vehicles. The VF 3 is a compact electric hatchback designed for urban use, offering a 30 kWh battery and a range of 200 km, making it an affordable option for city driving. The VF e34 is a smaller electric SUV with a 42 kWh battery and a 300 km range, offering a balance of performance and affordability for entry-level buyers.
The VF 8 is a mid-sized luxury SUV with a dual-motor AWD system and a range of over 500 km, while the VF 9 is a full-size SUV with seating for seven and a range of up to 600 km, making it ideal for family trips and long-distance journeys.
In addition to these SUVs, VinFast also showcased a variety of electric two-wheelers, including the Evo200, Klara S, Feliz S, Vento S, and Theon S electric scooters, the DrgnFly electric bike, and the VF Wild pickup truck concept.
