Ultraviolette Expands Its Electric Lineup with the Launch of the Shockwave and Tesseract in India

Ultraviolette Automotive has once again made headlines in the electric mobility space with the introduction of two groundbreaking models: the Ultraviolette Shockwave, a dual-purpose electric motorcycle, and the Ultraviolette Tesseract, the brand’s first-ever electric scooter.

Designed to tackle both urban roads and off-road trails, the Ultraviolette Shockwave is built for riders who crave adventure. With an introductory price of INR 1.50 lakh for the first 1,000 buyers (rising to INR 1.75 lakh thereafter), the Shockwave aims to deliver an exhilarating riding experience through cutting-edge technology and rugged engineering.

The Shockwave is powered by a 14.5 bhp electric motor that produces an impressive 505 Nm of torque at the wheel, ensuring powerful acceleration and superior off-road capabilities. It can sprint from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, while its top speed of 120 km/h makes it a compelling choice for both adventure seekers and urban riders. The motorcycle offers an IDC-certified range of 165 km, striking a balance between thrilling performance and practical usability.

Sporting a rugged and aggressive design, the Shockwave features a dual LED projector headlight, a tall windscreen, and wire-spoke wheels that enhance its off-road readiness. Its lightweight 120 kg chassis improves maneuverability, making it a dynamic performer on different terrains. The bike comes equipped with an advanced instrument cluster, integrating Bluetooth connectivity, LTE capabilities, smartphone pairing, and an eSIM, ensuring a seamless connected experience for riders. To enhance comfort and handling, the Shockwave is fitted with 37mm telescopic forks with 200mm of travel at the front and a mono-shock rear suspension with 180mm of travel. Safety is also a priority, with dual-channel ABS and a switchable rear ABS, providing excellent braking control in challenging conditions.

Ultraviolette Tesseract: A Game-Changing Electric Scooter

Breaking into the electric scooter market, Ultraviolette Tesseract offers a futuristic and feature-rich riding experience. Priced at INR 1.20 lakh for the first 10,000 buyers (increasing to INR 1.45 lakh afterward), the Tesseract is expected to begin deliveries in Q1 2026.

The Tesseract is powered by a 20.4 hp electric motor, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds, with a top speed of 125 km/h. This level of performance makes it one of the fastest electric scooters in the market. It also boasts an IDC-certified range of 261 km, catering to long commutes and extensive city rides. The scooter supports fast charging, reaching 80% battery capacity in under an hour, ensuring minimal downtime for riders.

Built with both style and practicality in mind, the Tesseract rides on 14-inch wheels, offering improved stability and road presence. It prioritizes safety with dual-channel ABS, traction control, and dynamic stability control, ensuring a secure ride in various conditions. 

Practicality is enhanced with a 34-liter storage compartment, spacious enough to accommodate a full-face helmet. The scooter’s 7-inch touchscreen TFT display provides a modern interface, while haptic-feedback handlebars add a layer of intuitive control. Setting a new benchmark for safety and convenience, the Tesseract comes equipped with radar-assisted front and rear dashcams, a first for an Indian electric scooter, and features wireless smartphone charging. Available in Desert Sand, Stealth Black, and Sonic Pink, the Tesseract offers riders the opportunity to express their style.

With the Shockwave catering to adventure enthusiasts and the Tesseract setting a new benchmark for electric scooters, Ultraviolette is pushing the boundaries of what electric two-wheelers can achieve. As the world continues its shift toward sustainable mobility, these new models reinforce Ultraviolette’s position as a leading innovator in the EV space.
