TVS Motor Company has unveiled four production-ready two-wheelers at EICMA 2026 in Milan, Italy. The lineup comprises three electric scooters – the Orbiter, M1-S and X – and the RTR 125 motorcycle, covering different segments of the European market.
The new models form part of TVS Motor’s efforts to expand its presence in Europe, where it has been developing its retail and aftersales network.
The company has identified the region as an important part of its international business and aims to increase the contribution of overseas markets to at least 30 per cent of its overall revenue by 2030.
The four models target different types of riders, from those looking for a basic electric commuter to customers interested in larger electric scooters, connected mobility and entry-level sports motorcycles.
TVS Orbiter
The TVS Orbiter in its European-spec will be available with two battery options: 1.8kWh and 3.1kWh.
TVS claims expected WMTC ranges of 70km and 105km, respectively. The battery can be charged while installed in the scooter or removed and charged separately using a household power socket and a dedicated dock.
The Orbiter has a claimed top speed of 45km/h, placing it in Europe's L1e category. It also gets an upright riding position and 34-litre underseat storage for everyday use.
TVS M1-S
The TVS M1-S is aimed at riders looking for a larger electric scooter suited to both urban and suburban journeys. Unlike the compact Orbiter, the M1-S follows a maxi-scooter format, with an emphasis on comfort, storage and higher-speed travel.
It is powered by a 4.2kWh battery and produces 12.5kW of peak power. TVS claims a top speed of 105km/h, while charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes 75 minutes.
The battery is positioned low in the floorboard to optimise the scooter's centre of gravity. The M1-S also gets a 26-litre storage compartment capable of accommodating a full-face helmet. Integrated LTE connectivity provides connected functions without requiring a smartphone connection.
TVS X
The TVS X sits at the premium end of the company's electric scooter range. Its European specification includes an electric motor producing 11.7kW of peak power, with a claimed 0–40km/h acceleration time of 2.5 seconds and a top speed of 110km/h.
The scooter uses an aluminium frame and rides on 14-inch wheels at both ends. Braking is handled by a dual-channel ABS setup. Its equipment includes a 10.2-inch panoramic touchscreen with Android Auto and full-map navigation.
The X is positioned in Europe's A1 category and is intended for riders seeking an electric alternative to conventional premium urban scooters and motorcycles.
TVS RTR 125
The TVS RTR 125 completes the EICMA lineup. It is developed for Europe's A1 licence category and targets younger riders and those entering the sports motorcycle segment.
The model draws on TVS Motor's racing experience, which dates back to 1982. The company describes it as an entry point to its wider European motorcycle range, which includes the RR 310, RTR 310, Ronin and RTX 300.
The motorcycle is powered by a 125cc, liquid-cooled, four-valve, DOHC engine producing 14.9 PS at 9,000 rpm and 12 Nm of torque at 7,000 rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and a multiplate assist and slipper clutch. It also gets multiple riding modes to adapt to different riding conditions.
TVS has not detailed the RTR 125's individual market launch dates or pricing in the information released alongside the EICMA presentation.
TVS Continues to Expand its European Network
Alongside the new models, TVS outlined its plans to develop its European business through retail expansion and aftersales support. Its network currently includes more than 100 retailers in Italy and another 22 across Spain and Portugal. The company said sales in Italy had increased by 110 per cent over the past year, with further expansion planned in France and Germany.
The four models reflect TVS Motor's plans to address multiple segments in Europe, with electric scooters accounting for three of the four new products. However, the company has not announced specific market launch dates or prices for the models.
