KTM has launched the updated 200 Duke in India for 2027, introducing several feature and hardware upgrades to its entry-level performance naked motorcycle.
The biggest change is the addition of a ride-by-wire throttle, which enables two riding modes: Street and Rain. The Street mode offers a more aggressive throttle response, while Rain mode is designed to deliver smoother, more linear power delivery in slippery conditions.
The updated 200 Duke also gets traction control and a bidirectional quickshifter, allowing clutchless upshifts and downshifts. Another interesting addition is the crawl feature, borrowed from the larger 390 Duke, which helps prevent the engine from stalling at low speeds and could make navigating traffic easier.
KTM has also revised the front suspension and rear tyre setup. The motorcycle now gets a 43mm WP Apex inverted fork and a wider 150-section rear tyre, replacing the smaller 37mm fork and 140-section rear tyre introduced in an earlier update.
The updated model also introduces two new colour schemes: Liquid Carbon and Slate Grey. The former features an all-black treatment with subtle orange graphics, while the latter combines grey body panels with blacked-out components and an orange subframe. The motorcycle also gets updated switchgear, including a standard hazard light switch.
Mechanically, the KTM 200 Duke remains unchanged. It continues to use a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine producing 25 PS and 19.3 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox. The motorcycle retains its steel trellis frame, 17-inch wheels, rear monoshock and braking setup comprising a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc.
Other features include a 5-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity, turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts, music controls and dual-channel ABS.
In Nepal, the current-generation KTM 200 Duke is available at Rs. 6,44,900. However, KTM has not confirmed the availability of the updated 2027 model in the Nepali market. If introduced, the additional electronic features and revised hardware would mark a significant update for the 200 Duke in Nepal's premium 200cc motorcycle segment.
