TVS Motor Company-owned British motorcycle brand Norton Motorcycles has unveiled its new 450 Urban Roadster, marking its entry into the mid-capacity motorcycle segment.
Revealed ahead of its official debut at EICMA 2026, the new motorcycle will become the fifth model in Norton's revamped lineup, with sales scheduled to begin in 2027. Currently referred to as the Norton 450 Urban, the motorcycle's official name is expected to be announced at EICMA.
Interestingly, Norton will offer the new 450 in two distinct styling options: a standard roadster and a tracker-inspired version. Both versions share the same mechanical package but feature different design elements.

The standard model gets a clean, modern roadster appearance, while the tracker-inspired variant features extended mudguards, handguards, fork protectors, a flyscreen and different seat trim. It also gets black alloy wheels and a grey frame and swingarm, giving it a more rugged appearance.
Powering the Norton 450 is a new 454cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 47PS at 8,000rpm and 45Nm of torque at 6,000rpm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox, with a quickshifter available as an option. Norton is targeting a kerb weight of under 180kg, while the motorcycle gets a 12-litre fuel tank.
The engine is housed in an aluminium frame, which Norton claims is unique in its segment. Suspension duties are handled by a 43mm fully adjustable KYB upside-down front fork and a KYB rear monoshock with rebound and preload adjustment. Braking comes from ByBre, with a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, supported by cornering ABS.
On the features front, the Norton 450 gets three riding modes, traction control and cruise control. Other highlights include dynamic LED lighting, an eight-inch TFT touchscreen with smartphone connectivity, keyless ignition, heated grips, tyre pressure monitoring and a USB-C charging port.
Styling takes inspiration from Norton's heritage, including the 1927 Norton CS1. The company has also paid attention to detailing, with minimal visible fasteners and covered fuel caps and engine components to give the motorcycle a more premium finish.
The 450 is part of Norton's revival under TVS Motor Company, which acquired the British brand in 2020. It expands the lineup beyond the Manx and Atlas models, following the showcase of four new motorcycles at EICMA 2025.
Norton is expected to begin sales of the 450 in late 2027. The motorcycle is also expected to make its way to India, potentially being manufactured at TVS Motor Company's Hosur facility. However, the company has not yet confirmed an India launch timeline or market-specific pricing.
