Tata Motors has already launched the all-new Tata Sierra in India at a starting price of INR 11.49 Lakh. The global debut showcases the ICE version first, with the electric Sierra EV set to follow next year.
For Nepal, the Sierra is expected to arrive in the first quarter of 2026, marking the return of a nameplate that once defined Tata’s SUV identity.
The 2025 Sierra adopts a rugged, modern SUV stance with a sculpted bonnet, sharp character lines and an all-black grille featuring the Sierra lettering. Slim LED headlamps, a full-width LED light bar and LED fog lamps create a modern look.

From the side, the SUV appears upright and muscular thanks to dual-tone alloy wheels, contrasting pillars, flush door handles, roof rails and pronounced wheel arches. The wraparound-glass effect associated with the original Sierra has been recreated with contrasting paint rather than actual glass. At the rear, connected LED tail-lamps, a wide tailgate and Sierra branding complete the design.

Inside, the new Sierra introduces Tata’s first triple-screen dashboard setup, consisting of a digital instrument cluster, a central infotainment display and a dedicated co-driver screen.
The cabin also features a four-spoke steering wheel with an illuminated Tata logo, touch-based HVAC controls, dual-tone upholstery, a 360-degree camera, a powered tailgate and a panoramic sunroof. The second row uses individual headrests, window shades and premium materials to enhance comfort and cabin refinement.

Under the hood, the Sierra will be offered with multiple engine options as part of Tata’s expanded powertrain strategy. Expected choices include a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a new 1.5-litre TGD-i turbo-petrol unit producing around 165–170hp and a familiar 1.5-litre diesel used in models like the Curvv and Nexon.

Some markets may also receive a 2.0-litre diesel engine generating 168bhp and 350Nm. All engines are likely to be paired with six-speed manual and torque-converter automatic transmissions.
Tata is likely to price the new Sierra between INR 11 lakh and INR 20 lakh in the Indian market, with the final numbers set to be disclosed on November 25. Once launched, it will go head-to-head with popular midsize SUVs like the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
Scheduled to arrive in Nepal in early 2026, the Sierra aims to make a strong entry into the growing midsize SUV segment by combining retro-inspired styling with advanced tech and a wide range of powertrain options including an electric option too.
