Charging is another highlight, with the P2 supporting DC fast charging that takes around 41 minutes to reach 80%. AC charging takes approximately 2 hours and 5 minutes for the 3.0 kWh and 3.7 kWh versions, while the 5.2 kWh version takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes. Yatri is also offering an 8-year or 80,000 km battery warranty.

The battery pack uses LG lithium-ion cells and incorporates in-built thermal runaway protection. The battery system also carries an IP67 water-ingress protection rating, while Yatri has developed a dual-architecture battery protocol designed to switch seamlessly between operating configurations.

The P2 uses a high-strength automotive steel dual-cradle trellis frame and features a 90 mm travel telescopic front suspension with dual progressive spring-damper rear shocks. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with 110/80-14 tubeless tyres.

Braking is handled by dual disc brakes with CBS, with a 240 mm ventilated front rotor and three-piston calliper, along with a 220 mm ventilated rear rotor and single-piston calliper.

The scooter measures 1,390 mm in wheelbase and has 165 mm of ground clearance. It gets a 775 mm seat height, 320 mm floor height and 30 litres of boot space. Kerb weight stands at 140 kg.

The technology package is one of the P2's strongest selling points. It features a fully programmable 7-inch TFT LED instrument cluster with built-in 4G connectivity, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, navigation, media and call access, as well as real-time information on nearby DC charging stations.

The display also provides Ride Intelligence data, including trip information, state of charge, energy consumption, regenerative braking data and heading, roll and pitch information. An integrated tyre pressure monitoring system is also available.

The companion app extends the scooter's connected features, offering proximity detection and keyless start, real-time vehicle location tracking, charger location and availability information, trip optimisation based on battery state of charge, charging notifications and ride and charging logs. Users can also access service appointments and history through the app.

The P2 also gets several riding and convenience features, including terrain-adapting cruise control, multiple drive modes, reverse mode and three levels of regenerative braking. Its AC charging system offers Optimized, Eco and Quick modes, while a hill-hold function is included for easier starts on inclines.

Yatri has also incorporated an outdoor speaker with configurable sound profiles and media functionality, adding another unusual feature to the scooter's equipment list.

Safety and security features include fall detection with power cut-off and location sharing, a floating position lamp, Class-D projector LED headlamp and regeneration-responsive tail lamp. An advanced anti-theft system provides movement alerts, location tracking and a remote immobiliser.

The official launch of the Yatri P2 at NADA Auto Show 2026 also makes it one of the most significant Made-in-Nepal mobility products showcased at this year's event.
