Tata Motors is moving ahead with plans to introduce an electric version of the Sierra by 2026. The Sierra EV will be offered with both RWD and AWD configurations.

The Sierra was recently launched in India at INR 11.49 lakh, featuring a refreshed design, a premium interior, and multiple engine choices. It offers three 1.5-litre options: a 108 PS/145 Nm NA petrol, a 160 PS/255 Nm turbo-petrol, and a 118 PS/280 Nm diesel.

The Sierra EV will be based on Tata’s acti.ev+ platform, the same architecture underpinning the Harrier EV.This skateboard-style structure supports fast charging, AWD capability and the company’s newer ADAS suite.

In terms of powertrain, Tte Sierra EV is expected to adopt the Curvv EV’s 55kWh battery and the Harrier EV’s 65kWh option, giving buyers a choice between range-focused and performance-oriented variants.

In the Curvv EV, the 55kWh pack is paired with a 167hp motor, while the Harrier EV’s 65kWh battery is linked to a 238hp rear motor. Similar outputs are anticipated for the Sierra EV. These setups currently offer 500–538km of claimed range and 0–100 km/h times from 6.3 to 8.6 seconds, depending on the battery-motor combination.

Once launched, the Sierra EV will slot between the Curvv EV and Harrier EV in Tata’s expanding electric portfolio.
