Ola, the Indian electric vehicle manufacturer, has expanded into the EV motorcycle market with the introduction of the Roadster X and Roadster X+.
The Ola Roadster X is available in three battery options: 2.5 kWh, 3.5 kWh, and 4.5 kWh, delivering a peak power of 9.38 hp. The 2.5 kWh variant reaches a top speed of 105 km/h, while the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh models can achieve 118 km/h.
In terms of acceleration, the 2.5 kWh version goes from 0 to 40 km/h in 3.4 seconds, whereas the 3.5 kWh and 4.5 kWh models complete the same sprint in 3.1 seconds. Ola claims that the 2.5 kWh variant offers a range of 140 km on a full charge, the 3.5 kWh version provides 196 km, and the 4.5 kWh model can cover 252 km.
The Roadster X+ comes with two battery choices: 4.5 kWh and 9.1 kWh, generating a peak power output of 14.75 hp. It has a top speed of 125 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in just 2.7 seconds. The 4.5 kWh variant delivers a claimed range of 252 km, while the 9.1 kWh version offers an impressive 501 km per charge.
Regarding hardware, the Roadster X is built on a double-down tube chassis and is equipped with telescopic front forks and a double coil rear suspension. Braking is managed by a front disc and a rear drum brake, while the bike rides on 18-inch alloy wheels.
In terms of features, the Roadster X includes three riding modes—Sports, Normal, and Eco—along with a 4.3-inch segmented LCD color display featuring smart connectivity and a USB port, all powered by MoveOS 5. Safety features include a tire pressure monitoring system, geo and time fencing, theft and tow detection, emergency SOS, and a vehicle locator.
The Roadster X+, on the other hand, shares most of the features of the Roadster X but introduces additional digital enhancements, including energy insights, advanced regenerative braking, cruise control, and a reverse mode. It also comes with a 4.3-inch segmented LCD screen with USB connectivity.
