Deepal, the new energy sub-brand of Changan Automobile, will unveil its electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) flying car at the upcoming NADA Auto Show 2025.
With this debut, MAW Vriddhi Autocorp will become the first company in Nepal to showcase a flying car to the public. The Deepal eVTOL UAV will be showcased for the first time in the country during the five-day automotive exhibition.
On December 21, 2024, Urban Air Mobility (UAM) pioneer EHang entered into a strategic partnership with Changan Automobile. This collaboration aims to jointly advance the research, development, production, sales, and operation of next-generation flying vehicles, including eVTOL aircraft and amphibious air-land mobility solutions.
Changan brings its robust R&D strength, mature supply chain, and market presence to the table, complementing EHang’s expertise in autonomous flying technology—highlighted by its milestone achievement of launching the world’s first autonomous passenger-carrying eVTOL.
The joint goal is to make eVTOLs an accessible mode of transportation for all, moving beyond the idea of flying cars as luxury gadgets for the elite.
