Updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 Gets TFT Display, Five Ride Modes and Quickshifter

Bajaj Auto has updated the Pulsar NS200 in India, bringing a substantial technology upgrade to its sporty street motorcycle.

The latest version introduces electronic throttle control, five riding modes, traction control and a new colour TFT instrument display, while retaining the model’s established design.

The updated Bajaj Pulsar NS200 also benefits from a bi-directional quickshifter, revised front suspension and additional convenience features. The motorcycle continues to use its existing 199.5cc liquid-cooled engine, although its maximum power output has increased slightly.

The most significant change is the introduction of an electronic throttle body (ETB), which enables five riding modes: Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road and Tour. These modes allow riders to adapt the motorcycle's throttle response to different riding conditions. Traction control has also been added to improve control when grip levels are limited.

The updated NS200 features a new 5-inch colour TFT display in place of the outgoing model's instrument console. The screen supports Google Maps mirroring, bringing navigation information into the rider's field of view. The updated cockpit gives the motorcycle a more contemporary feel and expands its digital functionality.

Bajaj has also introduced its Sports Shift system, a bi-directional quickshifter that enables clutchless gear changes in both directions. The system works with the motorcycle's six-speed gearbox and is intended to make acceleration and deceleration smoother during gear changes.

Further additions include adjustable brake and clutch levers, a USB Type-C charging port and a hazard light switch. The motorcycle also gets Panic Brake Alert, which activates the hazard lights during hard braking to alert vehicles approaching from behind.

The updated Pulsar NS200 continues to use a 199.5cc, single-cylinder, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine. Power output has risen from 24bhp to 25bhp, while peak torque remains at 18.7Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed transmission, with the new quickshifter adding to the riding experience.

Bajaj has also revised the front suspension, replacing the previous 33mm upside-down forks with thicker 37mm units. At the rear, the motorcycle retains its preload-adjustable monoshock but now gets a 130/70-R17 radial tyre. The perimeter frame continues to form the foundation of the chassis.

In terms of styling, the NS200 retains its familiar muscular proportions and aggressive streetfighter appearance. The latest update focuses primarily on technology and mechanical refinements rather than a major design overhaul.

The updated motorcycle will be offered in three new colour schemes: Ebony Black/Racing Red, Nardo Grey and Pearl Metallic White.
