In terms of design, the Clavis adopts Kia’s latest ‘Opposites United’ design language. The EV9-inspired exterior gets a distinctive Digital Tiger Face grille, Ice Cube-style MFR LED headlamps, LED daytime running lights, and connected Starmap LED taillamps. It sits on stylish 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, giving it a more commanding presence on the road compared to its Carens.

Inside, the Clavis enhances practicality and comfort with a three-row layout. The second row features sliding and reclining seats, one-touch electric tumble for easier access, and a segment-first walk-in lever. The interior sees updates such as redesigned AC vents and new Auto AC controls. The flat-bottom steering wheel is shared with the Kia Syros.

The biggest update is a striking 22.62-inch panoramic dual display, combining a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. The top-end variant ups the premium feel with a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, a 4-way powered driver’s seat, an 8-speaker Bose audio system, seat-mounted air purifier, 360-degree camera, and unique rear door stop-lamp integration.

In terms of safety, the Clavis offers a Level 2 ADAS suite in its top trims, which includes features like Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Forward Collision Avoidance Assist (including a mode for oncoming traffic), Lane Keeping Assist, Blind Spot Collision Warning, Blind View Monitor, and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist. Standard safety kit includes six airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and a Rear Occupant Alert system.

Powertrain options have also been expanded. The Clavis will be offered with three engine choices: a 1.5L naturally aspirated petrol, a 1.5L turbocharged petrol, and a 1.5L diesel.
