More than 700 riders across Nepal participated in the 2026 edition of the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, turning the streets of Kathmandu and several other cities into a celebration of style, community, and purpose.
Organized by FORE Nepal in association with Triumph Motorcycles Nepal, this year’s ride focused on raising awareness and funds for men’s mental health and prostate cancer research.
Founded in Sydney in 2012, the Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride has evolved into a global movement celebrated in more than 100 countries.
The initiative brings together retro, classic, and modern-retro motorcycle enthusiasts to support conversations around men’s mental health, emotional well-being, and prostate cancer awareness while promoting a sense of brotherhood within the riding community.
DGR Nepal 2026 expanded significantly this year, with simultaneous rides held in Kathmandu, Chitwan, Pokhara, Itahari, Butwal, and Hetauda. Kathmandu recorded over 200 participants, while Chitwan saw more than 150 riders. Pokhara and Itahari each hosted over 100 participants, with Butwal and Hetauda contributing more than 50 riders each.

Together, Nepali participants contributed over USD 1,000 toward global DGR fundraising efforts. The event also gained international recognition with the presence of the Australian Ambassador to Nepal as a special guest, highlighting the growing prominence of Nepal’s DGR community within the global movement.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Sunil Manandhar, President of FORE Nepal, stated that this year’s collaboration with Triumph Nepal brought a new level of participation and scale to the ride. He added that the organization remains committed to continuing the initiative and expanding awareness efforts in the years ahead.

Mental health awareness remained a major focus throughout the event. Ms. Karuna Chhetri, Psychotherapist and Mental Health Professional at TPO Nepal, emphasized that mental health should be treated as an essential part of overall well-being and noted that initiatives like DGR help create safe spaces for conversations, particularly among men who often hesitate to speak openly about emotional struggles.
Representing Triumph Nepal, Mr. Sagar Thapa stated that the brand’s continued involvement with DGR Nepal reflects the importance of supporting global initiatives centered around men’s health and community awareness.
Following the success of this year’s edition, DGR Nepal plans to expand participation into more cities and communities across the country.

Future editions are expected to focus on broader outreach efforts, stronger engagement with healthcare professionals and community organizations, and continued collaboration with global partners to further raise awareness around men’s health issues in Nepal.
Beyond the motorcycles and signature gentleman-inspired fashion, DGR Nepal 2026 ultimately became a platform for conversations around compassion, mental well-being, and social awareness.
The event combined motorcycle culture with a meaningful cause, helping encourage openness, reduce stigma surrounding mental health, and strengthen connections within Nepal’s growing riding community.
