Tata Punch EV Facelift to Debut at NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026
The facelifted Tata Punch EV is set to make its Nepal debut at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, bringing the first major update to Tata Motors’ smallest electric SUV since its introduction.
The updated model arrives with subtle styling changes, upgraded features, and a larger battery pack aimed at improving range, performance, and overall efficiency.
For the Nepalese market, the Punch EV facelift will be available with the larger 40 kWh battery pack, replacing the earlier 35 kWh unit. The updated battery will be paired with a single front-mounted electric motor that powers the front wheels.
The 40 kWh battery variant produces 129 hp and 154 Nm of torque, offering an ARAI-certified range of 468 km. Tata claims a real-world (C75) range of around 355 km, making it a more practical option for longer journeys while improving everyday usability.
Performance has also received an upgrade, with Tata claiming a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of under nine seconds. The electric SUV delivers a 32 percent restart gradeability figure, allowing it to handle steep inclines more confidently.
It continues to feature three drive modes — City, Eco, and Sport — along with four levels of regenerative braking, which can be adjusted through paddle shifters.
Charging capability has been improved as well. With a 65 kW DC fast charger, the Punch EV facelift can charge from 20 to 80 percent in just 26 minutes.
Tata claims a 15-minute charging session can add up to 135 km of range. The updated battery and powertrain system also bring improved efficiency through reduced component count, simplified wiring, and better thermal management.
The Punch EV facelift gets a cleaner design inspired by the latest ICE Punch, featuring a redesigned front bumper, closed-off grille, new 16-inch alloy wheels, updated colour options, and connected LED tail lamps.
It continues to offer 195 mm ground clearance and 450 mm water-wading capability. Inside, the cabin retains its familiar layout with updated trims, while higher variants get a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and 10.25-inch digital driver’s display.
Depending on the variant, features include wireless charging, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, connected car technology, and a 360-degree camera. Safety equipment includes six airbags as standard, along with electronic stability control, hill-hold assist, tyre pressure monitoring system, high beam assist, and ISOFIX child-seat mounts.
With a larger battery pack, improved charging capability, refreshed styling, and enhanced technology, the Tata Punch EV facelift is expected to strengthen Tata Motors’ electric vehicle portfolio in Nepal.
The model will officially arrive during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, where Tata Motors is expected to reveal pricing and availability details.
