River Indie Electric Scooter Priced at Rs. 3.70 Lakh, Nepal Debut Set for NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026
After being spotted testing on Kathmandu's roads, the River Indie electric scooter is now confirmed for its Nepal debut at the upcoming NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
Priced at Rs. 3,70,000, the Bengaluru-developed electric scooter will enter Nepal's growing premium EV segment following its official launch by Vishal Enterprises.
Ahead of its market introduction, the River Indie has been undergoing road tests across Kathmandu, including the challenging uphill sections around White Gumba. The testing is aimed at evaluating the scooter under real Nepali riding conditions before customer deliveries begin.
Developed by Bengaluru-based electric two-wheeler manufacturer River Mobility, the Indie is designed with a focus on practicality and everyday usability. The scooter features 177 mm of ground clearance and 14-inch wheels, making it suitable for a variety of road conditions.
Powering the River Indie is a 4 kWh battery pack with an IDC-certified riding range of up to 160 km on a single charge. It has a claimed top speed of 90 km/h and an 18-degree gradeability. Other features include a 55-litre lockable storage compartment, a dedicated rider footpeg and a warranty of up to eight years.
The River Indie has also received international recognition, becoming the only Indian two-wheeler to receive both the Red Dot Design Concept Award 2024 and the Red Dot Product Design Award 2025.
Ahead of its Nepal launch, River Mobility recently announced the rollout of its 50,000th Indie electric scooter from its manufacturing facility in Hoskote, Karnataka. The company reached the production milestone in less than three years after the Indie entered production on August 25, 2023.
The River Indie will be among the new electric two-wheelers showcased at this year's NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026, where visitors will get their first official look at the scooter before it officially goes on sale in Nepal.
