The Deepal S05 continues to strengthen its position in Nepal’s premium compact electric vehicle segment, competing as a feature-rich SUV in an increasingly competitive EV market.
First introduced in August 2025, the model has since remained part of Changan Nepal’s expanding premium EV landscape, where it competes alongside rivals that emphasize range, technology integration, and ownership assurance rather than relying primarily on entry-level pricing or novelty.
In line with this positioning, the S05 adopts a contemporary EV design language that supports its premium compact SUV identity. It features a shark-nose front profile, frameless doors with flush handles, and star-feather LED taillights with an illuminated rear logo. A 1.9 m² panoramic glass roof further enhances cabin openness.
The S05 measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with 175 mm of ground clearance, and rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, reinforcing its balance between urban usability and upscale design cues.
Supporting its market positioning is a powertrain setup aimed at efficiency and usable performance. The S05 is equipped with a 99 kW electric motor producing 320 Nm of torque, paired with a 56.12 kWh battery pack.
This configuration delivers a WLTP-certified range of 405 km, with figures extending up to 470 km under NEDC testing conditions, placing it within a competitive range bracket for its segment and usage expectations in Nepal.
Inside the cabin, the S05 emphasizes a premium experience with leatherette upholstery, 64-color ambient lighting, and a 14-speaker Sky Surround Sound System. Front seats are heated and ventilated, while the co-driver gets a “Queen Co-Pilot Seat” with a zero-gravity-style recline function, complemented by a 159-litre front trunk.
A 14.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system supports apps such as Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, and navigation, while the Deepal mobile app enables remote AC control, charging management, and real-time vehicle tracking, reinforcing its connected-car ecosystem.
On the safety and driver assistance front, the S05 incorporates several advanced systems that align with its premium compact segment positioning.
These include an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display, Remote In & Out Parking functionality, and an ADAS 2.0 suite comprising 19 safety and driver assistance features. Together, these systems reflect the growing importance of semi-autonomous and assisted driving technologies in Nepal’s evolving EV market.
Ownership assurance remains a key part of its overall proposition. Deepal EVs come with Changan Automobile’s standard warranty of 8 years or 240,000 km for the battery and 8 years or 150,000 km for the motor.

In Nepal, MAW Vriddhi extends this coverage to 11 years or 300,000 km for the battery and 11 years or 200,000 km for the motor, strengthening long-term ownership confidence in a segment where durability expectations are increasingly important.
Against this backdrop, the Deepal S05 is priced from Rs 50.99 lakh for the Plus variant, while the Max variant is offered in Black at Rs 57.99 lakh and Orange at Rs 58.99 lakh.
Its continued presence in the market reflects the broader direction of Nepal’s premium EV segment, where competition is increasingly defined by integrated technology, real-world usability, and long-term ownership value rather than initial launch appeal.
