Deepal Expands Kathmandu Presence with New Maharajgunj Showroom
MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the official distributor of Deepal vehicles in Nepal, has expanded its retail footprint in the capital with the inauguration of a new showroom in Maharajgunj, Chakrapath.
The new facility has been established in partnership with Appollo Motors, which has been appointed as Deepal's latest authorized dealer in Kathmandu. The inauguration also marked a strong start for the new dealership, with Appollo Motors delivering 20 Deepal electric vehicles to customers on the very first day of operations.
The showroom was jointly inaugurated by Deepal brand ambassador and former national cricket captain Paras Khadka, MAW Vriddhi Chairman Vishnu Agarwal, Nepal Republic Media founder Binod Raj Gyawali, and MAW Vriddhi Managing Director Vivek Sikaria.
Speaking at the inauguration, MAW Vriddhi Chairman Vishnu Agarwal said the company sees significant growth potential in Nepal's rapidly evolving electric vehicle market and remains committed to expanding its sales and after-sales network across the country to cater to increasing demand for Deepal vehicles.
The event also showcased Changan's technological ambitions, with attendees getting a closer look at the company's humanoid robot and robotic dog, highlighting advancements in artificial intelligence and automation technologies.
Appollo Motors Director Suyash Gyawali said the new facility aims to offer customers an immersive experience of Deepal's electric vehicle lineup, positioning the showroom as more than just a conventional sales outlet.
Marking the opening ceremony, 20 customers took delivery of their new Deepal electric vehicles during the event. Keys were ceremonially handed over by Paras Khadka, Vishnu Agarwal and Binod Raj Gyawali.
Deepal currently offers four electric models in the Nepali market — the Deepal S05, Deepal S07, Deepal L07 and the Deepal E07. Prices start at Rs 57.99 lakh for the Deepal S05 and extend up to Rs 1.99 crore for the range-topping Deepal E07 AWD variant.
The opening of the Maharajgunj showroom further strengthens Deepal's sales network in Kathmandu as competition intensifies in Nepal's fast-growing electric vehicle segment.
