Chery is preparing to introduce the new Chery Q in Nepal, with the electric urban crossover scheduled to make its official debut at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026 in Kathmandu this August.
Positioned in the B-segment, the Chery Q is a fully electric crossover designed primarily for urban use. It is built on a dedicated EV platform and features a 41.2 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery pack paired with a 90 kW permanent magnet electric motor. The vehicle uses a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) layout and offers a claimed driving range of up to 400 km under the NEDC testing cycle.

In terms of practicality, the Chery Q offers 375 litres of luggage space, which can be expanded to 1,450 litres with the rear seats folded. The model also supports DC fast charging at up to 85 kW, with Chery claiming a 30 to 80 percent charge time of 16 minutes under suitable charging conditions.
The crossover additionally features Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) functionality, allowing the battery to power external electrical devices.
According to the company, the Chery Q will be offered in three variants, with buyers able to choose from five exterior colour options and two interior themes.
The launch of the Chery Q comes as Nepal's electric vehicle market continues to expand, with manufacturers introducing new models across multiple segments. Further details, including pricing and variant-wise specifications, are expected to be announced during the vehicle's official launch.
The Chery Q will be unveiled at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026, which is scheduled to take place from August 11 to 16 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
