MAW Vriddhi Motors is set to expand the Nammi Vigo lineup in Nepal with the launch of the Nammi Vigo E2 on August 19, 2026.
Positioned below the existing E2+ variant, the new version is expected to bring the Vigo’s electric SUV package to a lower price point, with some features likely to be trimmed as part of the positioning.
The company has described the Vigo E2 as a “Full SUV,” highlighting its spacious cabin, SUV proportions and everyday practicality. However, unlike a completely new model, the E2 will essentially serve as a more affordable variant of the existing Vigo.
At present, the Nammi Vigo E2+ is priced at Rs 43.99 lakh in Nepal. The current Vigo is powered by a 99 kW electric motor, with two LFP battery options. The E2 uses a 44.9 kWh battery, while the E2+ gets a larger 51.87 kWh battery. The E2 has a claimed WLTP range of 300 km, compared with 350 kmfor the E2+.
The Vigo's dimensions remain one of its key characteristics. It measures 4,306 mm in length, 1,868 mm in width and 1,645 mm in height, with a 2,715 mm wheelbase and 190 mm ground clearance. These dimensions give the electric SUV a relatively spacious presence for its segment.
With the E2, Nammi appears to be taking a different approach to expanding the Vigo's market. Rather than adding more equipment to the existing model, the new variant is expected to achieve a lower entry price.
According to MAW Vriddhi Motors, more than 2,000 Nammi vehicles are currently operating on Nepali roads. The company has also pointed to the Vigo's journeys through destinations including Manang, Mustang and Shuklaphanta as examples of its use in varied road and terrain conditions.
The new variant could give buyers looking for a larger electric SUV a lower-cost alternative to the existing Vigo E2+.
