Bajaj Auto has achieved a major milestone with its electric scooter, the Bajaj Chetak, crossing cumulative sales of 5,10,000 units since its launch in January 2020.

What makes this achievement particularly impressive is that over 40 percent of these sales (2,06,366 units) were recorded in the 10 months since November 2024.

Despite challenges in India, which temporarily halted production, the Chetak has remained one of the bestselling electric scooters in India, frequently trading the top spot with the TVS iQube. With production now back on track, sales figures are expected to rebound strongly in the coming months.

The scooter’s success can be attributed to Bajaj’s diverse variant line-up and extensive service network. In India, the Chetak is offered in four variants: the base 3001 with a 3 kWh battery, and the 3501, 3502, and 3503 with larger 3.5 kWh packs.

Meanwhile, in the Nepalese market, the Bajaj Chetak 3501 is priced at Rs 3,24,900. It delivers a certified range of 153 km per charge and features an IP67-rated all-metal body, ensuring durability across varied riding conditions.
