Small bikes have a long and fascinating history, especially in Japan, where models like the Honda Monkey, Grom, and Kawasaki Z125 Pro became cultural icons. What began as simple commuter machines evolved into symbols of freedom and individuality—compact, affordable, and endlessly fun.
Enter the 2026 CFMoto Papio SS, a quirky, retro-styled cafe racer in miniature, inspired by classic Japanese sportbikes

Powered by a 126cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine producing 9.4 hp and 9.2 Nm of torque, it pairs with a 6-speed gearbox and EFI for smooth, efficient city performance. Despite its small stature, the Papio SS is built purely for riding joy.

It comes equipped with upside-down front forks, a rear monoshock, dual-channel ABS, and traction control—features rarely seen in bikes this size. The race fairing, clip-on handlebars, and LED lighting give it a distinctive mini-racer attitude, while its 12-inch wheels make it nimble and playful around city streets.

Interestingly, CFMoto once offered the Papio ST in Nepal, and Benelli had the TNT 125, both of which hinted at a growing interest in compact, characterful machines. With its mix of modern tech and retro soul, the Papio SS feels like the perfect revival of that idea.
It’s one of those bikes we’d truly love to see on Nepali roads—small in size, big on personality.
