SPG Automobiles Wins EV Pioneer Award at Global Chery Conference
SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of Omoda & Jaecoo (brands under Chery Automobile Co. Ltd.) in Nepal, has received the ‘EV Pioneer Award’ at the 2025 Chery International Global Dealer Conference.
The event was held at the Yijiu International Expo Center in Wuhu, China, the headquarters of Chery. The Vice president of Chery Mr. Xu Hui handed over the award to Mr Gaurav Shrada, Director of SPG Automobiles.
Over 3,000 dealers from 120 countries were present at the conference, along with key guests from Wuhu City, Chery CEO Mr. Yin Tongyue, and Mr. Zhang Guibing, General Manager of Chery International.
SPG Automobiles won the award for its excellent sales and key role in bringing Omoda & Jaecoo electric vehicles (EVs) to Nepal. The award shows the company’s strong effort in promoting eco-friendly transportation and its growing influence in Nepal’s car market.
Omoda & Jaecoo officially entered Nepal in 2024, first launching the Omoda E5 EV, followed by the tough and stylish Jaecoo J6 at the NADA Auto Show 2024. In just a year, SPG Automobiles made a big achievement by selling over 800 Omoda and Jaecoo vehicles in Nepal.
