MG Motor is preparing to roll out an upgraded version of the Windsor electric vehicle in India, featuring a larger battery pack and enhanced features. The updated model is expected to hit the market in May 2025.
Currently, the MG Windsor, equipped with a 38kWh battery and an ARAI-certified range of 332 km, is currently available in India and is confirmed to enter the Nepali market by May 2025 with two of its variants Excite and Exclusive. The upgrade larger battery will be integrated into the Indian version as part of the upcoming update.
In the upgraded MG Windsor with larger battery pack, power and torque outputs are likely to remain unchanged at 136hp and 200Nm, respectively. MG Windsor will also retain its front-wheel-drive layout. The updated model will come with the added feature of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS)
Since its debut in September 2024, the MG Windsor has significantly contributed to the brand’s growth in India. Between September 2024 and March 2025, MG sold 19,394 units of the Windsor—averaging over 2,700 units per month.
