Leapmotor B01 Electric Sedan Debuts in China with Two Range Options

Leapmotor is set to unveil its new all-electric sedan, the B01, in China today. The vehicle will be offered in two range variants, offering estimated CLTC driving distances of 550 km and 650 km, respectively.

Powering the rear wheels, the B01 offers two motor configurations: a 132 kW (177 hp) option and a more powerful 160 kW (215 hp) version. These are paired with either a 56.2 kWh or 67.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery, corresponding to the 550 km and 650 km range options. An entry-level variant will also be introduced featuring a 100 kW (134 hp) electric motor.

The B01 is underpinned by the brand’s LEAP 3.5 modular platform and measures 4770 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, and 1490 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2735 mm. This advanced architecture supports an 800V high-voltage system, incorporates CTC 2.0 (Cell-To-Chassis) technology, and features a 27-in-1 integrated thermal management system. It also utilizes Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8650 chip for enhanced processing capabilities.

Inside the cabin, the B01 features a modern layout, highlighted by an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a sporty flat-bottom two-spoke steering wheel, and a large 14.6-inch 2.5K floating infotainment screen. The system runs on Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8295 cockpit chip and is powered by Leapmotor’s OS 4.0 Plus. An onboard AI-powered voice assistant is also included to enhance user interaction.

Leapmotor, which already has a presence in our market, currently offers the C10 electric SUV and the compact T03 city car. The company is also preparing to launch the B10 compact electric SUV by August or September.
