Hero MotoCorp has showcased its adventure-oriented Xoom 160 maxi-scooter at the 17th NADA Auto Show 2025 in Kathmandu, marking the company’s foray into Nepal’s premium scooter segment.

Powered by a 156 cc liquid-cooled engine, the Xoom 160 produces 14.6 bhp at 8,000 rpm and 14 Nm of torque at 6,500 rpm, paired with a CVT automatic transmission. Weighing 142 kg, the scooter delivers a fuel efficiency of around 40 km/l, making it suitable for both city commuting and light touring.

The Xoom 160 features muscular bodywork, a tall windscreen, and a single-piece seat for rider and passenger comfort. Its dual-chamber LED headlight enhances visibility, while the scooter measures 1,983 mm in length, 772 mm in width, and has a seat height of 787 mm. With a ground clearance of 155 mm, it can handle uneven city roads and light off-road terrain.

Designed for convenience and safety, the Xoom 160 comes with a digital instrument cluster that includes turn-by-turn navigation, LED lighting, keyless ignition, ABS, and a remote seat-opening function. It rides on 14-inch alloy wheels with tires sized 120/70 at the front and 140/60 at the rear. The suspension setup comprises telescopic hydraulic front forks and dual rear shock absorbers, while braking is managed by disc brakes with ABS.

Once launched in Nepal, it is expected to compete with models like Yamaha Aerox 155, offering a blend of performance, style, and daily usability for urban and semi-urban riders.
