Deepal, Changan Automobile’s New Energy Vehicle (NEV) brand, has achieved a significant global milestone with cumulative deliveries surpassing 500,000 units.
In May alone, Deepal recorded sales of 25,521 electric vehicles—marking a remarkable 78% year-on-year growth and a 27% increase compared to April 2025. The brand currently offers six models globally: SL03, S07, G318, L07, S05, and the recently launched S09, which debuted on May 22.
Deepal has already expanded into Southeast Asia and the Middle East, and this year, the brand officially entered the European market. In Nepal, three models are currently available: the L07, S07, and E07.
The Deepal S07 EV in Nepal is equipped with a 66.8 kWh NMC battery, delivering a WLTP-certified range of up to 410 km. Its 99 kW electric motor produces 320 Nm of torque. Similarly, the Deepal S07L (Long Range) variant features a more powerful 160 kW rear-wheel drive motor and a larger 79.9 kWh battery, enabling a WLTP range of up to 485 km. It has a top speed of 180 km/h and 0–100 km/h acceleration in just 6.6 seconds.
Built on the advanced EPA1 electric platform, the Deepal L07 offers a range of up to 540 km (NEDC) from its 66.8 kWh battery. Interior highlights include a 15.6-inch touchscreen, a driver’s seat that automatically adjusts to height, and a spacious 70-liter front trunk.
A standout in versatility, the Deepal E07 can transform from an SUV into a pickup truck or a camping vehicle. Available in both Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and All-Wheel Drive (AWD) configurations, the RWD version features a robust 190 kW motor delivering 258 PS and 365 Nm of torque. Paired with an 89.9 kWh battery, it achieves an impressive 566 km range on a single charge.
At the Deepal Brand Night event held in May, CEO Deng Chenghao unveiled the company’s global vision, “Smart Lead 2030,” which aims to sell 2 million vehicles annually by the end of the decade. As part of this ambitious strategy, Changan plans to launch 30 new Deepal models worldwide.
