MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor for Deepal and Changan vehicles in Nepal, has launched the all-electric Deepal S05 compact SUV, priced at Rs 48.99 lakh for the Plus variant and Rs 54.99 lakh for the Max variant. These introductory prices are lower than the standard Rs 49.99 lakh and Rs 56.99 lakh.
With a class-leading drag coefficient of 0.258Cd, the S05 promises improved efficiency and performance. It measures 4,620 mm in length, 1,900 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height, with 175 mm of ground clearance, and rides on 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
The exterior features a shark-nose front, frameless doors, flush handles, star-feather LED taillights, an illuminated rear logo, and a 1.9 m² panoramic glass roof. Inside, highlights include leatherette upholstery, 64-color ambient lighting, a 14-speaker Sky Surround Sound System, a 159-liter front trunk, heated and ventilated front seats, and a Queen Co-Pilot Seat with zero-gravity positioning and nap mode.
A 14.4-inch touchscreen offers internet connectivity, Spotify, YouTube, Amazon Music, and live navigation. Through the Deepal app, users can control AC remotely, schedule charging, and locate the car.
Powered by a 99 kW motor delivering 320 Nm of torque and a 56.1 kWh battery, the S05 offers a WLTP range of 405 km (up to 470 km NEDC). The rear-wheel-drive setup with 50:50 weight distribution aims to deliver dynamic handling.
Standout features include segment-first Remote In & Out Parking, ADAS 2.0 with 19 safety functions, and an Augmented Reality Head-Up Display. The CATL Golden Shield Battery System 2.0 offers up to 5,000 cycles (approx. 600,000 km), 15-minute fast charging from 30–80%, and retains over 85% range at -20°C. A 6 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) function allows the SUV to power external devices.
Available in Moonlight White, Ganymede Grey, Deep Space Black, Andromeda Blue, and Mercury Silver, the S05 features an orange-and-black leatherette cabin.
