Cimex Inc. Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of BYD in Nepal, has unveiled the Shark 6 plug-in hybrid pickup truck at the ongoing BYD Hi-Tech Week in Kathmandu.
Set to launch in our market in the future, the Shark 6 is powered by a 1.5-liter petrol engine paired with BYD’s Blade Battery and two electric motors, delivering a combined output of 321 kW and 650 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.7 seconds.

Inside, the Shark 6 offers a premium driving experience with heated, ventilated, and electrically adjustable front seats, while the rear seats provide a comfortable 27-degree recline angle. The intelligent cockpit features a 10.25-inch LCD instrument cluster and a rotating 15.6-inch adaptive touchscreen.

In terms of dimensions, the BYD Shark measures 5457 mm in length, 1971 mm in width, and 1925 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3260 mm. It also boasts a towing capacity of 2500 kg.
For off-road capability, the Shark 6 comes equipped with a double-wishbone front and rear suspension, along with terrain modes for Mud, Sand, and Snow. Additional features include Hill Hold Control, Hill Descent Control, Vehicle Dynamic Control, and Auto Hold.
