Ather Energy, known for its 450 Series electric scooters, is preparing to introduce its latest model—the Ather Rizta—to the Nepali market. The new scooter will make its official debut at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025, taking place at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu from August 6 to 10.

The Rizta is positioned as a family-friendly electric scooter, designed with practicality and comfort in mind. It features a spacious seat, generous under-seat storage, and advanced safety systems such as traction control and theft alerts—making it suitable for both urban and semi-urban mobility. The model has already seen strong reception in India, with over 100,000 units sold in its first year, and similar expectations are being placed for the Nepali market.

In terms of performance, the Rizta is powered by a 4.3 kW motor and offers an estimated range of up to 159 kilometers on a single charge. This makes it well-suited for intercity travel, especially between regions like Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Pokhara. Ather's connected features, such as navigation, ride tracking, and over-the-air software updates, are expected to include Nepali language support and localized maps in the future.

Other practical features include 34 liters of under-seat storage—among the highest in its segment—a 7-inch TFT display with Google Maps, Bluetooth connectivity, and IP67-rated battery protection. The Rizta also offers a 5-year battery warranty, and financing options are expected to be available through Vaidya Energy, Ather’s official distributor in Nepal.

Bookings for the Ather Rizta will open soon, and the scooter is scheduled to arrive on Nepali roads later this year. Visitors to the NAIMA Expo will have the opportunity to see the Rizta up close and learn more about its features directly from the Ather team.

"Ather Rizta has been one of the most anticipated products for us. We've waited a long time to bring it to Nepal after its success as one of India's favorite scooters. With Rizta, we're not just launching a scooter — we're growing the EV ecosystem and making it accessible to a much wider audience," - Suryansh Vaidya, CEO, of Vaidya Energy Pvt. Ltd

Ather Energy has rapidly grown in Nepal since its launch, with 8 Experience Centers now operating in Kathmandu, Pokhara, Butwal, and Itahari, 1 Test Ride Zone in Boudha, 6 Service Center and 21 Fast Charging Grid.
