While the Scrambler 400 XC shares much of its design with the 400X, it adds upgrades for better off-road performance. The most important upgrade is the tubeless spoke wheels, maintaining the same 19-/17-inch wheel setup and tyre sizes (100/90 front, 140/80 rear).

The XC variant also features a raised front fender, a metal engine guard replacing the plastic one, and a small windscreen, adding to its adventure-focused look. These changes increase the bike’s weight by 5 kg compared to the Scrambler 400X.

Mechanically, the Scrambler 400 XC retains the same 398.15cc engine producing 39.4 bhp and 37.5 Nm. It rides on a tubular steel frame with a bolt-on rear subframe, and a 43 mm USD fork and monoshock with 150 mm of travel on both ends.

It comes with a ride-by-wire throttle, switchable traction control, a semi-digital instrument cluster, slipper clutch, USB-C charging port, and engine immobiliser. The cluster features an analogue speedometer with a digital display for gear position, tachometer, trip data, and fuel level.

The Scrambler 400 XC also introduces three new colours: Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White, each accented with vintage-style racing stripes on the tank and windscreen. The tail section remains unchanged from the 400X.

With the Scrambler 400 XC, Triumph continues to expand its 400cc lineup, offering a more off-road capable and stylish option for modern classic enthusiasts.
