Skoda Nepal is gearing up to introduce the all-new Skoda Kylaq in the Nepali market by January 2026, expanding its SUV lineup in one of the region’s fastest-growing segments.

Built on the MQB-A0-IN platform, the Kylaq joins the Kushaq and Kodiaq as the brand’s third SUV. It measures 3,995 mm long, 1,783 mm wide, 1,619 mm tall, and features a 2,566 mm wheelbase with 189 mm ground clearance—dimensions well-suited for our mixed terrain.

Powering the Kylaq is a 1.0-litre TSI engine delivering 114 bhp and 178 Nm of torque. Buyers can choose between a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic gearbox. The manual variant clocks 0–100 km/h in 10.5 seconds and reaches a top speed of 188 km/h, making it one of the peppier options in its class.

The cabin packs a premium feel, led by a 10.1-inch infotainment display supporting wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charging, and six-way powered ventilated seats—a segment-first addition. Other features include cruise control, paddle shifters (AT variants), and leatherette upholstery.

If Skoda Nepal maintains competitive pricing, the Kylaq could emerge as one of the most feature-loaded and safety-focused compact SUVs in the Nepalese market.
