Royal Enfield Nepal (Alpha Automotive) has officially launched the Scram 440 in Nepal, priced at Rs 6.90 lakh. The motorcycle will be offered in two variants — Trail and Force.

Built on the same platform as the Himalayan 411 and Scram 411, the new Scram 440 delivers more power and refined gearing for better highway performance.

It is powered by a 443cc single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine producing 25.4 bhp at 6,250 rpm and 34 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm, paired with a six-speed gearbox and wet multi-plate clutch.

The Scram 440 features a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, available in alloy or spoke options depending on the variant. Braking duties are handled by single discs at both ends with switchable ABS, while suspension consists of 41 mm telescopic front forks and a rear mono-shock with linkage. It weighs 196 kg, has a 15-litre fuel tank, and offers a 795 mm seat height.

In terms of design, the Scram 440 stays true to its neo-retro scrambler roots, sporting a round LED headlamp, boxy fuel tank, exposed chassis, and single-piece seat. A digital-analogue instrument cluster provides all key ride data.

Positioned in the middleweight scrambler segment, the Scram 440 will take on rivals like the Triumph Scrambler 400X.
