The 'NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025', organized by the Nepal Automobile Importers and Manufacturers Association (NAIMA), was officially announced on Monday.
The event was hosted by Raj Kumar Dulal, Executive Director of NAIMA, while Gaurav Sarada from the Auto Expo Committee opened the program by sharing the objectives, special features, and vision of the expo. He also expressed gratitude to the media, sponsors, members, and partners.
The press meet took place at Soaltee Hotel, where Auto Expo Committee Head Shirish Kumar Murarka shared details about the event. He said the expo will be held at the Exhibition Grounds in Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. He also mentioned infrastructure improvements made at the venue, including better drainage and accessibility for people with disabilities.
Murarka added that the event will showcase new technologies and models in mobility. A total of 15 two-wheelers, 15 four-wheelers, and 5 commercial vehicles will be launched during the expo.
During the event, Bishnu Prasad Gyawali from Everest Bank and Navaneet Gupta from National Insurance Company expressed their happiness in being partners of the expo and committed to supporting a more sustainable and technology-driven transportation system.
Besides Everest Bank and National Insurance as the main sponsors, several other companies are supporting the expo. Khalti by IME is the ticketing partner, Mountain Dew is the beverage partner, Himalayan Java is the brewing partner, Pathao is the ride partner, HIK Vision is the surveillance partner, WorldLink is providing internet services, Soaltee Hotel is the hospitality partner, Frontline Hospital is the medical partner, Ncell is the telecom partner, and Media Space Solution is the event management partner.
Special services have been arranged for visitors. Ride partner Pathao will offer up to 30% discount on rides going to the event location. Medical services including ambulance and emergency support will be available 24/7 on the expo grounds, provided by Frontline Hospital.
NAIMA has also announced an online video competition related to the expo. Anyone uploading a creative video about the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 on social media before August 6 could win a cash prize of NPR 100,000. Additionally, ten more videos uploaded between August 6 and 10 will each win NPR 10,000.
The event wrapped up with closing remarks by NAIMA President Ritu Singh Vaidya. She thanked the media and partners for their continuous support and said the expo is set to become the largest and most influential automobile event in Nepal. She also shared that panel discussions with national and international experts will be held throughout the five days of the expo.
On the first day, Anil Keshari Shah will lead a session titled “Mobility – Hijo, Aaja, ra Bholi” from 2 PM to 5 PM. In the days that follow, various national and international institutions, including Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu University, the Ministry of Education, National Planning Commission, Ministry of Finance, and India’s Institute of Road Traffic Education, will participate in expert discussions.
The NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2025 will run from August 6 to 10 at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu, with participation from over 50 automobile brands. Tickets are available through Khalti by IME. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), NAIMA will donate five percent of ticket sales to scholarships and research fellowships in the mobility sector to support deserving students across the country.
