A delegation led by Karan Chaudhary, President of the Nepal Automobile Dealers Association (NADA), formally met with the Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister, Mr. Bishnu Prasad Paudel.
The delegation officially requested him to inaugurate the 17th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2025, which is scheduled to take place from Bhadra 3 to 8 (August 19 to 24) at the Bhrikuti Mandap premises in Kathmandu, where he would serve as the chief guest.
During the meeting, President Chaudhary highlighted that after a long hiatus, a business-friendly budget has been introduced, benefiting not only Nepal’s automobile sector but the broader private sector as well.
In the course of the discussion, NADA Vice President Rajan Babu Shrestha emphasized the imminent establishment of Nepal’s first vehicle manufacturing industry in Simara. He called for the formulation of supportive policies to aid such manufacturing ventures, the provision of additional incentives, and the need for policy stability to foster their growth.
Concluding the discussion, Honorable Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Mr. Paudel graciously accepted the requests put forth by NADA. He further encouraged Nepalese automobile entrepreneurs to maximize their revenue contributions to support the government’s efforts.
The meeting was also attended by NADA’s General Secretary Surendra Kumar Upreti, Secretary Bikram Singhania, Treasurer Milan Babu Malla, Co-Treasurer Pankaj Agrawal, and Association Secretary Surendra Pradhan.
