KTM has rolled out the all-new 160 Duke in India, its most affordable naked streetfighter yet—and according to the company, also the most powerful machine in the 160cc segment.
At the heart of the 160 Duke is a 164.2cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that produces 19hp at 9,500rpm and 15.5Nm at 7,500rpm, making it one of the punchiest motors in its class. With a kerb weight of just 147kg, it offers an impressive power-to-weight ratio. The motor is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, though unlike its bigger siblings—the 250 Duke and 390 Duke—it skips the quickshifter.

The 160 Duke rides on KTM’s familiar split trellis frame, supported by WP Apex USD forks up front and a rear monoshock. Braking comes courtesy of a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, both backed by dual-channel ABS. Lightweight 17-inch alloy wheels—shared with KTM’s RC range and other Bajaj-built Dukes—wear a 110-section tyre at the front and a 140-section at the rear.

On the tech and features front, you get a crisp 5-inch LCD display, full LED lighting, and a headlamp design that mirrors the previous 390 Duke and the current 200 Duke. It’s clear that the new model inherits plenty from its bigger brother, both in styling and mechanical DNA.
The KTM 160 Duke steps into the ring against rivals like the Yamaha MT-15, bringing sharp looks, lively performance, and a lightweight chassis to riders who want a premium streetfighter experience without stretching their budget.
