Kia Syros EV Arrives in Nepal Ahead of Official Launch
The Kia Syros EV has arrived in Nepal ahead of its official launch and is currently being showcased at Kia Nepal’s showroom in Garidhara, Kathmandu, as the company prepares to introduce the electric SUV to the Nepali market.
The Kia Syros EV has been priced at Rs. 37.90 lakh, while the first 100 customers who booked the vehicle at the recent NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo availed it at a special introductory price of Rs. 35.90 lakh. The electric SUV will be available in the HTK variant in Nepal.
The Syros EV is powered by a 42 kWh liquid-cooled lithium-ion battery pack, paired with an electric motor producing 99 kW (135 PS) and 255 Nm of peak torque. Kia claims a driving range of 443 km under the MIDC testing cycle, while the vehicle supports CCS2 charging.
The electric SUV adopts Kia's latest design language, featuring the brand's Digital Tiger Face, Star Map LED DRLs, Ice Cube LED headlamps and Star Map LED tail lamps. It rides on 16-inch dual-tone aero alloy wheels, with the HTK variant equipped with 215/60 R16 tyres.
Inside, the Syros EV gets a modern, technology-focused cabin with dual 12.3-inch displays and a dedicated 5-inch touchscreen for climate control. The HTK variant also comes with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, along with a four-speaker audio system and two tweeters.
Other features include shift-by-wire, paddle shifters for i-Pedal and regenerative braking, and Eco, Normal and Sport drive modes. The electric SUV also gets an electric parking brake with Auto Hold and four USB-C ports.
The Syros EV uses MacPherson struts at the front and a coupled torsion beam axle at the rear, while braking duties are handled by disc brakes on all four wheels.
In terms of safety, the HTK variant comes equipped with six airbags, ABS with Brake Assist, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Management, Hill-start Assist, Emergency Stop Signal and TPMS. It also features rear parking sensors, three-point seat belts with reminders, ISOFIX anchors, rear occupant alert and rollover sensors.
With its Rs. 37.90 lakh price, the Kia Syros EV enters Nepal's increasingly competitive electric SUV segment with a 42 kWh battery, 99 kW motor and claimed 443 km MIDC range. The official launch is expected to follow soon.
