Building on the launch of its controversial new visual identity last month, Jaguar has unveiled the Type 00 (pronounced Type Zero Zero) —a design vision concept that will shape the British carmaker's forthcoming electric transformation.
The Type 00 offers a glimpse into Jaguar’s upcoming lineup, showcasing a two-door coupe design that previews the styling of the brand's electric four-door grand tourer set to launch in 2025. The Type 00 has a long bonnet, wide roofline, 23-inch alloy wheels, fastback profile, and boat-like tail.
Inside, the Type 00 Concept features a modernist cabin adorned with three hand-finished brass lines running along the interior, including a central 3.2-meter brass spine that separates a pair of floating instrument panels.
Performance-wise, the concept targets an impressive driving range of up to 770 km (478 miles) WLTP or 430 miles (692 km) EPA on a single charge. It also promises rapid charging capabilities, adding up to 321 km (200 miles) of range in just 15 minutes.
Underpinning the Type 00 is Jaguar's JEA platform, purpose-built for electric vehicles and set to serve as the foundation for all future EVs from the brand.
