Jaecoo has become the fastest-growing mainstream automotive brand the UK has seen in the last decade, marking a major milestone for the Chinese manufacturer.
According to 2025 registration data verified by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT), the brand recorded 28,232 new car registrations during the year, underscoring a rapid rise in market acceptance since its UK launch in January 2025.

The Jaecoo 7 has been the primary model of this success, accounting for 26,048 registrations and securing its position as the fourth most popular retail car in the UK. This achievement is particularly notable given the brand’s recent market entry.
Other models in the portfolio, including the Jaecoo 5 and the all-electric E5 (Jaecoo J5 in our market), have also resonated strongly with UK customers.

Jaecoo’s growth has been supported by the rapid expansion of the Omoda & Jaeco retail network, which now comprises 101 dealership sites across the UK. Private buyers have played a significant role in this momentum, with retail sales accounting for 55 percent of total Jaecoo registrations in 2025.
A customer-first approach has been another cornerstone of Jaecoo UK’s success. Personalised retail experiences, strong warranty and aftersales support, and a clear focus on long-term ownership confidence have helped accelerate brand trust.

Reflecting this growing visibility, Jaecoo was named the most searched Chinese car brand on Google in 2025 and received industry recognition including the Carwow Brand of the Year award.
Looking beyond the UK, Jaecoo continues to expand its international footprint. The brand is present in several markets including Nepal, where its current lineup includes the Jaecoo J5 EV and the Jaecoo J6 off-road electric SUV.
