Five years after Ford announced the end of its vehicle sales and manufacturing operations in India, GO Automobiles Pvt. Ltd. says it continues to strengthen the brand’s presence in Nepal through after-sales support and an expanding lineup of international Ford models.
Ford announced on September 9, 2021, that it would cease vehicle sales and manufacturing operations in India. While the decision marked the end of Ford’s direct sales operations in the country, the company continued supporting existing customers through its after-sales network.
In Nepal, GO Automobiles has continued to support Ford owners with service facilities, genuine spare parts, technical expertise and customer assistance. The company says it has also continued investing in its after-sales capabilities to ensure Ford vehicles remain supported across the country.
At the same time, Ford continues to sell its international models in Nepal. The current lineup includes the Ford Everest, Ford Ranger and Ford Ranger Raptor, giving Nepali customers access to Ford products developed for global markets.
GO Automobiles is also preparing to introduce additional Ford models in Nepal, which could further expand the brand’s portfolio in the country.
According to the company, its approach extends beyond vehicle sales, with a focus on maintaining long-term relationships with existing Ford customers while continuing to introduce new global products.
“Ford ownership is a journey, and our responsibility is to ensure that journey continues with confidence. We remain committed to supporting every Ford customer, while also bringing Ford’s international models and new products to Nepal,” said Akash Golchha, Managing Director of GO Automobiles.
Five years after Ford’s exit from India’s new-vehicle market, GO Automobiles says Ford’s journey in Nepal remains active, backed by continued customer support, international models and plans for new products.
