The Avatr 07 EV has been spotted in Kathmandu ahead of its expected launch at the NADA Auto Show 2026, adding another premium electric SUV to what is shaping up to be a highly competitive edition of Nepal’s biggest automotive exhibition.
The Avatr 07 is a premium electric SUV developed by Avatr, a technology-focused automotive brand backed by Changan, CATL and Huawei. While the model is available internationally with both battery-electric and extended-range electric powertrains, the vehicle spotted in Kathmandu is the fully electric version.
However, the exact variant or variants that will be offered in Nepal are yet to be decided. The Nepal-spec battery, drivetrain, equipment and pricing are therefore expected to be revealed around the NADA Auto Show.
The Avatr 07 measures 4,825 mm long, 1,980 mm wide and 1,610 mm tall, with a 2,940 mm wheelbase. It features a sleek SUV profile with split lighting, flush door handles, and slim tail lamps. The model also gets Avatr's distinctive interactive Halo display positioned between the bonnet and windscreen.
Globally, the all-electric Avatr 07 is powered by an 82.2 kWh CATL Shenxing LFP battery pack. The 2026 model is offered in both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.
The RWD version uses a single rear electric motor producing 252 kW (338 hp), while the AWD version adds a front motor, taking total system output to 440 kW (590 hp).
The RWD version delivers a claimed 650 km CLTC range, while the dual-motor AWD version is rated at 610 km CLTC. The Chinese-market specifications also quote 0–100 km/h acceleration times of around 6.3 seconds for the RWD and 3.9 seconds for the AWD.
The Avatr 07 also uses an 800-volt electrical architecture and supports high-speed DC charging. Its CATL battery technology is capable of adding a substantial amount of range during short charging sessions.
In terms of tech, the SUV incorporates Huawei's intelligent driving technology. The 2026 model supports Huawei ADS 4, with functions including assisted navigation on highways and urban roads, automated parking and advanced emergency braking.
Inside, the Avatr 07 takes a distinctly premium approach. It features a large 35.4-inch 4K display across the dashboard, alongside a 15.6-inch driver display powered by Huawei's HarmonyOS 5. Other equipment includes a 25-speaker Meridian sound system, digital rear-view mirror and front seats with a zero-gravity function. The updated model also receives revisions to its suspension setup.
With the Avatr 07 EV now spotted in Kathmandu ahead of NADA Auto Show 2026, attention will be on how Avatr positions the model in Nepal's rapidly expanding premium EV segment.
