Known as the Aion Y in some markets—including ours—GAC Aion has launched the 2025 Aion Y Plus in China, featuring subtle exterior and interior updates alongside an upgraded vehicle system.
The most noticeable exterior change is the redesigned taillight cluster, which now highlights the brand’s illuminated logo. Inside, the updated infotainment system supports Carlink/Hicar and adds a useful traffic light countdown for easier city driving. Similarly, comfort has been enhanced with fully flat-folding front and rear seats, while the driver’s seat includes ventilation and heating functions.
The 2025 model retains its spacious dimensions, measuring 4535mm in length, 1870mm in width, and 1650mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2750mm—unchanged from the previous version.
Driver assistance technology in the 2025 Aion Y Plus includes adaptive cruise control and automatic following to help reduce driving fatigue. The exterior rearview mirrors now come with automatic folding and heating features for added convenience.
The vehicle is equipped with a single electric motor, offered in two power variants—100 kW and 150 kW—allowing buyers to choose between balanced efficiency and enhanced performance based on their driving preferences.
Available at Rs 54.99 Lakh locally, the GAC Aion Y comes with a 61.54 kWh LFP battery that offers a WLTP range of 405 kilometers. Its electric motor generates up to 100 kW of power and 225 Nm of torque, allowing it to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.5 seconds.
