TVS Launches All-New Orbiter Electric Scooter in Nepal at Rs. 2.81 Lakh

TVS Motor Company has expanded its electric mobility portfolio in Nepal with the launch of the all-new TVS Orbiter.

Introduced as the brand's second electric scooter in the country after the TVS iQube, the Orbiter is positioned as a more accessible offering aimed at riders looking to make the switch to electric mobility without stretching their budget.

The TVS Orbiter has been launched at an introductory price of Rs. 2,81,900, making it one of the most competitively priced electric scooters in its category.

Powering the Orbiter is a 3.1 kWh IP67-rated lithium-ion battery paired with a 2.5 kW electric motor. TVS claims an IDC-certified range of up to 158 km, while the expected real-world range is between 115 and 120 km, depending on riding conditions. The scooter can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 4 hours and 10 minutes.

The electric scooter delivers a top speed of 68 km/h and accelerates from 0 to 40 km/h in 6.8 seconds, making it well suited for everyday city commuting.

In terms of dimensions, the Orbiter measures 1,850 mm in length, 734 mm in width, and 1,294 mm in height. It offers 165 mm of ground clearance, a seat height of 763 mm, and tips the scales at 112 kg kerb weight, balancing accessibility with stability on Nepal's varied road conditions.

Practicality is another highlight, with the scooter featuring a 34-litre under-seat storage compartment, providing ample space for a helmet or everyday essentials.

The TVS Orbiter also packs several modern technology features, including a 5.5-inch LCD instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation, and over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

On the safety front, it comes equipped with crash and fall alerts that automatically cut power to the motor, along with anti-theft protection and geofencing functionality.

TVS is backing the Orbiter with a 5-year or 60,000 km warranty, offering additional peace of mind for buyers making the transition to electric mobility.

With the launch of the Orbiter, TVS is strengthening its presence in Nepal's rapidly growing electric scooter market. Combining an affordable introductory price, a claimed 158 km IDC range, practical features, and connected technology, the new Orbiter is expected to appeal to first-time EV buyers and urban commuters looking for an efficient and dependable electric scooter.
