Triumph Tracker 400 Unveiled in the UK

Triumph Motorcycles has expanded its 400cc lineup with the unveiling of the new Tracker 400, a flat track–inspired road motorcycle that has, for now, been revealed exclusively in the UK and confirmed for the 2026 model year.

Positioned alongside the Speed 400 and Scrambler 400, the Tracker 400 introduces a new body style to Triumph’s small-capacity range. Visually, the Tracker 400 adopts a flatter, stripped-back design language inspired by flat track racing.

Styling highlights include a boxy fuel tank, flyscreen, number-board-style panels, and a colour-coded seat cowl. The rear section, including the compact rectangular LED tail-light and seat design, appears to be shared with the Thruxton 400.

Although it shares the TR-Series engine platform and select components with its siblings, the Tracker is mechanically and ergonomically closer to the Speed 400, while adopting a distinct flat track character in both design and riding posture.

Powering the Tracker 400 is the same 398cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled TR-Series engine, producing 42hp at 9,000rpm—2hp more than the Speed 400—while torque output remains unchanged at 37.5Nm. The engine is paired with a six-speed gearbox and features revised tuning aimed at stronger top-end performance.

In terms of chassis and dimensions, the Tracker 400 carries a kerb weight of 173kg, making it 3kg heavier than the UK-spec Speed 400. It features a slightly sharper 24.4-degree rake compared to the Speed’s 24.6 degrees and rides on 17-inch wheels at both ends with a 150-section rear tyre.

The seat height is taller at 805mm, reinforcing its upright, dominant riding position, while braking hardware mirrors the Speed 400 with a 300mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc.
