The Triumph Speed 400 has become slightly more expensive in Nepal following its second price hike since launch. The roadster now costs Rs 6,59,900, marking a Rs 10,000 increase from the previous Rs 6,49,900.
The update follows a similar move for its sibling, the Scrambler 400X, which also saw a Rs 15,000 price bump, bringing its new price to Rs 7,14,900.
Powering the Speed 400 is a 398.15cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine that produces 39 bhp and 37.5 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed gearbox and slip-and-assist clutch. Designed for everyday rideability and spirited performance, it features a 790mm seat height and weighs 170 kg, with 43mm upside-down forks and roadster-style geometry ensuring balanced handling.
In terms of features, the Speed 400 comes equipped with full LED lighting, bar-end mirrors, adjustable levers, switchable traction control, and Bosch dual-channel ABS. Its semi-digital instrument cluster may lack smartphone connectivity and navigation, but it still provides key details like a gear position indicator, distance-to-empty display, and a USB-C charging port mounted on the handlebar for convenience.
In Nepal’s middleweight segment, the Triumph Speed 400 competes with models like the KTM Duke 390 and the Royal Enfield Classic 350. While the KTM focuses on performance and the Royal Enfield leans toward retro appeal, the Speed 400 offers a balance between classic styling, advanced engineering, and everyday practicality—making it one of the most refined options in its class.
