Proton eMas7, the highly anticipated electric vehicle from Proton, is set to make its debut in Nepal with the Aegis Blade Battery System and 12-in-1 Electric Drive System. Unveiled in Malaysia last December, the eMas7 will be available in two variants: Prime and Premium.
A standout feature of this EV is its Aegis Short Blade Battery, developed by Geely Automobile. This advanced lithium iron phosphate battery offers superior charging speed, enhanced safety, and a longer lifespan compared to traditional blade batteries. The Aegis Short Blade Battery is also designed to maintain high capacity even in extreme cold, making it well-suited for Nepal’s diverse climate conditions.
The Proton eMas7 Prime variant is powered by a 49.52 kWh battery, while the Premium variant comes with a 60.22 kWh battery, ensuring improved range and performance. Another key feature is its 12-in-1 Electric Drive System, which integrates critical components such as the electric motor, power converter, battery management system, onboard charger, and control units into a single unit. This streamlined design reduces complexity, minimizes energy loss, and enhances overall efficiency.
Jagdamba Motors, the authorized distributor under Shankar Group, plans to introduce the Proton e.Mas7 to the Nepali market by the third week of March.
