Proton Nepal has delivered 10 units of its electric SUV, the e.MAS7, in Butwal ahead of the official inauguration of its showroom in the city with dealer partner Balaji E Automobiles.
The early handovers highlight the growing interest in Proton’s electric vehicles outside Kathmandu, with several customers finalizing their purchases prior to the showroom’s launch. The Butwal deliveries follow a similar event in Pokhara, where the brand conducted multiple handovers with strong customer participation.
In Nepal, the Proton e.MAS7 is offered in two variants – Prime and Premium – priced at Rs 56.99 lakh and Rs 67.99 lakh respectively. Both models use a front-mounted electric motor producing 160 kW and 320 Nm, allowing the SUV to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds. The system integrates a 12-in-1 motor controller for improved efficiency.
The Prime variant features an LFP battery with a capacity of 49.52 kWh, offering a WLTP-rated range of 345 km, along with 18-inch alloy wheels, a 15.4-inch display, remote functions, and ADAS Level 2.
The Premium variant comes with a larger 60.22 kWh LFP battery, extending range to 410 km, and adds features such as 19-inch wheels, a 16-speaker Flyme Sound System, a head-up display, and ventilated front seats.
A key component of the e.MAS7 is Geely’s Aegis Short Blade Battery, designed for enhanced safety, quicker charging, and improved durability compared to conventional LFP blade batteries. Internationally, the model is sold as the Geely Galaxy E5.
